Fatou Diop has more than six years of experience coordinating study abroad and cultural exchange programs in Dakar, Senegal. She holds a Master’s degree in American and Caribbean Studies from Cheikh Anta Diop University and is a certified TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) teacher. Fatou has worked closely with students and teachers to organize both academic and extracurricular activities that support learning inside and outside the classroom.
She volunteers with several organizations, including a human rights group (YAHR), the Senegalese American Studies Association (SASA), a child protection and women’s empowerment group (QSV Village), and a sports and education camp in Cape Verde (AMINGA). Fatou also works as a freelance interpreter for programs such as MEDREX, a U.S. Army medical readiness exercise.
In her free time, Fatou enjoys creative writing, soccer, traveling, and exploring new cultures. She values family deeply, especially spending time with her little cousins , whom she affectionately calls her “little goats”.
